As a young girl, Marian Wong admired colorful, textural Asian clothing.

Pursuing this interest, she chose a college curriculum that included courses in interior design, textiles, tailoring, fabric weaving, textile printing, pattern-making, and studio art. Several years after graduation, she returned to study business administration.

Marian Wong Design opened for business in 1997. As owner and designer, Marian creates interior décor accessories primarily using fabrics with Asian designs. The fashions of the Asian culture and the eclectic 1970s' hippie styles influence Marian's design sensibilities.

The Marian Wong Design studio is located in Sacramento, California. In addition to the studio and this online store, Marian sells her interior décor accessories at shows throughout California.
